First off let me introduce myself, I am Prof. Paul E. Richardson. My research focuses on detection of infectious diseases in our community. We specialize in using genomic based techniques to detect diseases. I have mentored over 92+ undergraduate students which have resulted in over 87 student poster presentations, 17 student oral presentations, 10 student led research publications (4 more being written) and 4 non-research publications. Each year my students present their research at scientific conferences around the state/nation winning many awards for their research (see below for this year’s). Most of my students are interested in attending Medical Schools (MD or DO) or graduate schools (PhD) and that is why they do the research.
